I’m a Fulbright grantee 2021-2022. I spent spring semester 2022 in The Center for the Study of Children’s Literature, in Simmons University, Boston, MA, USA. My debut nonfiction picture book The Flying Finn – Jarno Saarinen’s story, which I wrote and illustrated, was highly commended at the World Illustration Awards children’s book category in 2019. The book was chosen a finalist for the Sports Book of the Year 2018 in Finland.

The second nonfiction picture book I illustrated was Rally Team. It came out May 2021. The book got the Merit award in the 3×3 International Illustration Annual No.19 and has been chosen to the collection of the Most Beautiful Books of 2021 in Finland.

I have also illustrated a fiction picture book “A Long Way Home”.

For years I’ve worked with clients from various fields with illustration and infographics commissions. Before becoming a full-time Illustrator I worked at two universities as an Information Officer and was the managing editor of two nonfiction publications.

All the illustrations and infographics in the blog are mine. Please don’t use them without my permission!
